Your rational at coming to the conclusion that 'people with crowns tend to be awful players in multiple aspects' is something I find lacking. Case in point, you're lumping every crown under what you're perceiving me defending, while it should be fairly clear at this point I'm trying to distinguish that not all crowns are 'rude and bad' and it would be more apt to say I'm defending the actual decent ones. I'm not defending crowns, I'm addressing your stereotyping. It's not the fault of the numerous bad mentors! It's just because the crown is more noticeable! Pretending that it's anything other than that I feel like is why it's been such an problem that continues to be a problem. There is a bad impression of people with mentor crowns BECAUSE of the large majority of mentors acting like assholes. I was invited to a few when I first started playing and it was largely either spam or extremely rude mentors getting annoyed with people for asking questing and interrupting their spam chat. Have you seen mentor chats? They're horrible. When people talk more negatively than positively about mentors, you don't think there is a problem there? It sounds like you're just excusing the stereotype because people notice the crown more often than bad players without the crown? I get what you're trying to say, but you're still ignoring that people complain specifically about bad experiences with mentors in particular. I get the impression like you don't think there is an issue with mentors being consistently rude and bad, despite multiple testimonies over the course of time complaining that in particular, people with crowns tend to be awful players in multiple aspects. I'm having trouble understanding why you're trying so hard to defend people with mentor crowns.
